My Love of Steampunk

In the spirit of sharing, here's a peek at my love of top hats and monocals and just being a little ridiculous! Steampunk is such a fun, eclectic style and genre. A dear friend gave the middle piece to me for the perfect Christmas present and I had to acquire a couple of friends at etsy.com to complete the best office atmosphere. I'm proud to introduce you to my office friends, introductions below:
Sir Gerald Bennington, he's obviously the Marshall of the United Kingdom Royal Air Force!
From left to right we have
Dr. Jasper Warrenson, Director of Medieval History at Oxford University
Eloise Van Cliburn, World-Renowned Pianist, Vienna State Opera
Winston Featherlot, Executive Librarian, Library of Congress
Walter Stanton, Investment Banker, Goldman Sachs
Birdy Stanton, Homemaker/Trophy Wife
Last but certainly not least, we have Reginald B. Watsworth, Fleet Admiral, WWII Veteran, US Navy.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do, and feel free to share your love of Steampunk or other weird styles with me!

ModCloth

I know I'm probably the last person on the face of the earth to find out about Modcloth.com and I'm too ecstatic about all the amazing stuff I've found to be upset over all the time that I've lost in this new love affair! I've already added about 35 dresses to my wishlist, along with about 20 pairs of shoes, 5 purses, and a few other things. In other words, I can't stop smiling! :)  <-- See what I'm talking about?

Here's just one combination I put together today out of my recent picks! Enjoy! What are some of your favorite modcloth items? I'd love to hear from you!

The Inspiring Yellow Doors

Hello world! I'm Emily and I'd like to share Portland style, architecture, and general weird with you. This first post was made possible because my friend Abbie just had to take a picture of me in front of these beautiful yellow doors in downtown Portland. I've since been inspired to share the plethora of style and beauty Portland has to offer. I'm still not entirely sure what this will look like, but I'm excited to share my world with you as often as I can!
